Puckett's Grocery- Leiper's Fork-Linda Davis, Brent Rowan Bill Whyte, Lang Scott Download as iCal file
Friday, March 26, 2010, 08:00pm

Linda DavisLabeled a 'song stylist', Linda Davis's unique ability to interpret a song soon made her one of the most sought after session singers in Nashville. She caught the attention of label executives and landed her first record deal with CBS/Epic Records. Davis quickly gained a legion of friends and fans in the music industry, one being superstar Reba McEntire. "The first time I heard Linda sing was in 1989 when I was listening to songs for my next album. I kept hearing this one particular female vocalist on the demos that just blew me away. It had been a long time since a voice had moved me that way and I just had to find out who she was." McEntire loved Davis' music so much that she invited her to become a featured entertainer on tour with her. Their mutual respect led them into the studio together where they recorded a duet entitled Does He Love You that went on to become a #1 hit and earn both artists several awards including a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration.

Brent RowanAfter 20 years in Nashville, Brent Rowan is perhaps the most prolific and sought-after studio guitar player on Music Row. Since breaking into the industry as lead guitarist on John Conlee's "Friday Night Blues," Rowan has worked over 10,000 recording sessions representing well over 100,000,000 records sold. His credits include cuts by leading country and pop artists of the last two decades, among them George Strait, Shania Twain, Sting, Brian Wilson, Randy Travis, Neil Diamond, Olivia Newton-John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Alabama. A five-time nominee for CMA's Instrumentalist of the Year Award and an Academy of Country Music Guitarist of the Year, Rowan has already put together the kind of track record left by only a handful of legendary Nashville session players.

Bill WhyteBill Whyte, a radio personality, a singer, a song-writer and an all around hilarious guy, Bill Whyte is a man with many hats! He's written with Linda Davis, Billy Dean, Blake Mevis, Keith Anderson, Wil Nance, Steve Dean, Bobby Tomberlin, Sherrie Austen, Brian McComas, Tony Stampley, Lisa Shaffer and others. Yet he's worked with Jeff Dunham, Heywood Banks, and Larry The Cable Guy to name a few. We're all very excited to have him on board for the evening.

Lang ScottLang Scott will also be along for the evening. A recording artist in his own right, Lang played guitar and was a backup vocalist for Reba McEntire for eight years.
