Girls TEC Camp signup deadline Friday
Time is running out for students to register for this summer's exciting Girls TEC Camp. TEC Camp, which stands for Tackling Emerging Careers, is an annual event for female students who will be entering eighth grade in the fall.
This year's camp will be held June 4-8 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Centennial High School. Girls will learn about networking, communications, engineering, architecture, technology, law and hospitality, to name a few. The cost is $50, which includes lunch each day and a t-shirt.
The deadline for REGISTRATION is May 4. Space is limited and reservations will be held according to the date the application is received. Contact Rebecca Collins at 472-4063 for more information.

Adult indoor coed soccer signup deadline Tuesday
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces registration for adult indoor coed soccer leagues at the Robert A. Ring Indoor Arena, 1878 Downs Blvd. in Franklin. Participants may choose the Wednesday night recreational league or the Friday night competitive league.
Team registration for either league is $465. The registration deadline is February 22, and play will begin on February 29.

Winter indoor tennis clinic registration ends Feb. 21
The Athletics Division of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces a new session of the indoor tennis clinic program at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood.
Adult and junior clinics in beginner through advanced skill levels are offered Monday(s) through Saturday(s). Clinics start the week of February 21. Prices vary depending on the duration of clinic. A full class schedule and fees are available at www.wcprathletics.org.

Deadline Monday noon for Franklin Tomorrow's Break with the Mayors
The refocused goals and strategies to accomplish them were then taken to the public at various locations to seek their input on those which are most important to the future of Franklin. The results of the Vision Fair process will be disclosed during the Breakfast With the Mayors on Jan. 31 and the mayors will speak to how local governments can respond.
Adult volleyball leagues registration deadline Jan. 6
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s Athletics Division announces a January 6 deadline for registration for the Thursday night adult coed sixes and Sunday women’s quads volleyball leagues.

Story Time with Santa Dec. 9 at Longview
Santa is coming to town and you are invited to an extra special event!
The jolly ole elf will be making a special trip from the North Pole Friday, December 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to visit the Longview Recreation Center!
Kids, come dressed in your favorite PJ’s to have cookies and milk while listening to Santa read a Holiday Story. After story time, each child will have the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap and give their Christmas wish list. Parents don’t forget to bring your cameras!
Kids ages 10 and younger are invited to Story Time with Santa. The cost is $5 per child, and parents are free. Each child must be accompanied by a parent. Space is limited and reservations are first come first served.

Signup by Dec. 1 for seniors' Wassail tour to Belmont Mansion
Seniors, age 55 and older, are invited to join the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department on Thursday, December 8 for a trip to Nashville to visit the Belmont Mansion for a Wassail tour!
It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the season! The trip will start with brunch at the Puffy Muffin! After brunch the fun continues at the Belmont Mansion.
Upon our arrival we will learn about the history of Wassail, other southern holiday traditions, and enjoy tasting a variety of wassail. Appetizers such as cheese balls, cookies and other finger foods will be part of this delightful experience. Our fun afternoon concludes with a tour of the beautifully decorated Mansion, with time to visit the gift shop. Do not miss out on this great start to a wonderful holiday season!

Franklin election early voting ends Thursday
Early voting for the Franklin Municipal Election on Oct. 25 ends Oct. 20.

Running for mayor are incumbent Mayor Ken Moore and challenger Jay Wade.
All are for four-year terms.

Adult flag football registration ends Aug. 26
Registration ends August 26 for the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s 2011 pro and rec adult indoor flag football leagues.
A pro league will play on Thursday nights at the Indoor Arena at Crockett Park, 1485 Volunteer Pkwy., and a rec league will play on Friday nights at the Robert A. Out-of-transportation zone deadline May 15
The deadline for submitting out-of-transportation zone request forms for the Williamson County Schools 2011-12 school year is rapidly approaching. Parents have until May 15 to complete and submit the forms which are available ONLINE.
Any student who qualifies to grandfather at their current school as per School BOARD POLICY 1.703 must complete an out of zone form for the 2011-12 school year. Students who are eligible for grandfathering as a result of the recent rezoning are not considered automatic. All out of zone/open zone requests will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
