Senior trip set to state MIlitary Branch Museum
Seniors, age 55 and older, are invited to join the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department on Tuesday, January 31 for a trip to Nashville to visit the Tennessee State Military Branch Museum for a guided tour of the exhibit entitled Japan 1945.
The exhibit showcases 24 compelling images taken by the late Nashville photographer, Joe O’Donnell. Everyone must have a photo ID to get in to the Military Museum. After this interesting tour, participants will enjoy lunch at the nearby Gerst Haus Restaurant.
The cost of the trip is $20, and lunch will be Dutch treat. A complete menu will be available the day of the trip. Space is limited for this event. Registration will run through January 24 or until full. Transportation will be provided from the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill and the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. Check-in at Longview will begin at 8:00 a.m., and the group is estimated to return at 3:30 p.m. Check-in at Franklin will begin at 8:45 a.m., and the group is estimated to return at 2:30 p.m.

Seniors trip set to Lebanon Fiddler's Grove Village
Seniors, age 55 and older, are invited to join the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department on November 4 for a trip to historic Fiddler’s Grove Village in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Take a guided tour of over 30 historic buildings (both original and replicated) that are significant to local history. The quaint village includes a church, sawmill, doctor’s office and school. After the tour, enjoy lunch at Demo’s (Dutch treat).
The cost is $25 per person, which includes motor coach transportation and a guided tour. Transportation will be provided from the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill and the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.
Check-in at Longview will begin at 8 a.m., and the group is estimated to return at 3 p.m. Check-in at Franklin will begin at 9 a.m., and the group is estimated to return at 2:30 p.m. Space is limited for this event.
Registration is from October 14 to October 31 or until full.
