Pet of the Week: Dori
Dori is around 9-yrs-old, great with kids/cats/and dogs and Operation Education had been helping with her for at least a year at a home where her human-mom was dying. As the mom is finally in the last stages of her life, her kids didn’t want to handle the dogs (there were several) so they stuck them outside. They had been, before then, well taken care of.
Please go to http://onthefifthday.chipin.com/doris-heartworm-treatment to help with the costs of treating her! We do not raise the adoption fee when we have to treat them; heartworm treatment can be expensive, but Dori's is early stage.

ADOPT ME-MY NAME IS BELLA
| Breed: | Boxer | Color: | White | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Unknown | Sex: | Female |
I am purebred.
We do not place our rescue dogs outside our area (Middle and East Tennessee) without the consent of any boxer rescue groups that may be closer to the applicant.
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the application at http://www.mtbr.org/application.html
at Rutherford County PAWS
***courtesy listing***
My name is BELLA.
I am a female, white Boxer mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old.
I have been at the shelter since Sep 03, 2011.
If you think you might like to adopt one of our other dogs, please visit our website at www.mtbr.org and fill out an online application; it does not commit you to adopting. Our dogs live in foster homes (more are always needed!), at our farm in Brentwood, & in boarding.
Every dog adopted out by MTBR must be an inside dog. There are no exceptions!
We require a fenced yard. We do not consider an electric fence to be an acceptable fence.
We do not make same-sex placements. Same-sex boxers almost always begin fighting, necessitating the placement of one or the other into another home. Boxer often get along well with same-sex dogs of smaller breeds.
DISCLAIMER: Dogs have been observed while in the rescue program, and appear to be of stable temperament. However, it is not possible to test dogs under all circumstances, so caution should be used in new environments, especially involving young children.

Barry's adoption didn't work out; he is back with us.
Barry is a year and a half old, approx 60 pounds. Super with kids, probably fine with a female dog, although he is a fence arguer. He'd love a human boy to play with. He is trained to nudge a string of bells on the door when he needs to go out.
